Ibn Battuta Mall is one of my favourite malls in Dubai because of the way it is themed throughout, The corridors are nice and wide, and the majority of it is on one floor. There are excellent connections to public transport like the metro and buses.
The design of the mall is based upon the travels of Ibn Battuta, a Muslim explorer who travelled around the Mediterranean, Middle East, India and China in the 14th century. The mall is divided into themes representing the different countries he travelled through; for example, China, India, Egypt, Persia, etc.
I have spent many a happy hour there, just wandering around the shops. It has two excellent food halls and a large cinema complex, and it is also like a museum, highlighting Ibn Battuta’s travels and celebrating the scientific endeavours of the Muslim community.
So let’s dive in and explore what Ibn Battuta Mall has to offer.
