The Beach JBR Introduction
The Beach JBR is quite hard to describe when you see it for the first time. It’s a mixture of an open beach, water park, restaurant, and shopping complex, and it even has its own cinema, which is cool. It’s a fantastic place to hang out during the day and is spectacular in the evening with all the lights, sounds, smells, and wonderful energy.
Access to the area is from the beach side of Jumeirah Beach Residences down at the far end (Abu Dhabi), which can be reached by taxi, private car, metro, tram, and bus. See the Transportation section below.

The Beach
The best feature at the beachside is the stunning view of the Arabian Gulf. In front is Bluewaters Island, with the fantastic Ain Dubai wheel, and as you track across to the right, you can see the Palm Jumeriah. Directly in front of the beach is the Aqua Fun Water Park, a series of inflatable rides where you can climb, race across and avoid falling in the water.
There are many other activities at the beach, including volleyball, swimming, and dedicated children’s areas. There are facilities to hire sunbeds, umbrellas, towels, etc, and plenty of places to get food and drinks.
Other activities include jet skiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, outdoor gyms, cycling, skateboarding, and yoga. There are multiple vendors along the beach for you to rent equipment for all of these activities.
