Al Quoz Dubai

Al Quoz Dubai

Introduction

When you first hear about Al Quoz you will hear descriptions of industrial parks, cement factories, worker accommodation, many garages, and warehouses.

When I first arrived in Dubai 20 years ago, that was very much the perception, but over the years an amazing arts, crafts and entertainment scene has sprung up out of the industrial landscape.

Al Quoz has become an incubator for a large variety of community centres, art, food, and more. Al Quoz represents the perfect fusion of urban grit and artistic sophistication, where concrete facades hide cultural treasures waiting to be discovered.

It has become a favourite haunt of mine, wandering around the streets, searching for new and different experiences. I cannot recommend it enough, as a place to explore. This guide just scratches the surface but here are eight different places you can check out.
