Next Wednesday at 6pm, the gates on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road swing open again, and one of Dubai’s favourite winter evenings returns with them. This morning, Khaleej Times confirmed the Global Village ticket prices for Season 31, while Gulf News set out the new features visitors will notice from opening night.
The good news is that entry still costs very little. However, one small change will catch out anyone who usually saves Sunday for a cheaper visit. This guide covers what you will pay, when to go, how to park or travel there, and what is genuinely new this season.
Global Village Ticket Prices for Season 31
According to Khaleej Times, a ticket costs Dh25 on weekdays and Dh30 at weekends, which now run from Friday to Sunday, and on public holidays. Gulf News reports the same figures. In other words, the headline prices have not changed since last season.
You can buy tickets on the Global Village website and app, and at the gates from 14 October. When we checked the official plan-your-visit page today, it still said Season 31 entry tickets would be available soon. So if the online shop is not live when you look, simply check again closer to opening day.
Entry is free for People of Determination and one companion, according to the official site. For other discounts, check the ticket page on the day you book, because the organisers have not yet published full Season 31 ticket terms.

The Sunday Change to Global Village Ticket Prices
This is the detail most regular visitors will notice. Khaleej Times explains that weekend rates will now apply to tickets bought for Sunday. Last season, by contrast, a weekday ticket was valid from Sunday to Thursday.
The difference is only Dh5 a head. Even so, for a family of five it adds up over a season of repeat visits. If you want the cheaper rate, therefore, aim for Monday to Thursday instead.
Bear in mind that Tuesdays are different. The official site says that Tuesdays, except those that fall on a public holiday, are reserved for families, couples and ladies. Groups of adult men should therefore plan for another night.
Opening Night and Season 31 Hours
Global Village opens at 6pm on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. After opening night, the official timings are as follows:
- Sunday to Wednesday: 4pm to midnight.
- Thursday to Saturday and public holidays: 4pm to 1am.
- Tuesday: reserved for families, couples and ladies, except on public holidays.
The season runs for more than seven months, until May 2027, under the theme “A More Wonderful World”, Khaleej Times reports. Opening week also falls during the October half-term. Gulf News notes that several private schools close from 12 to 16 October, giving many pupils nine days off from Saturday, 10 October. As a result, expect busier evenings than a normal school week.
What’s New at Global Village This Season
Beyond the Global Village ticket prices, Gulf News lists several changes that alter how a visit works. Some are big, such as a new ride, while others are small but genuinely useful.
A Redesigned Passport and a First Kids Passport
Each of the 29 pavilions now has its own stamping station, so you can collect a stamp in every pavilion you visit. The season covers more than 90 cultures, so a full passport takes plenty of walking. For the first time, there is also a Kids Passport that uses the same stations. However, Global Village has not yet announced the price of either passport or where to buy them.

A WhatsApp Chatbot and Easier Navigation
Visitors can now message a Global Village chatbot on WhatsApp for help during a visit, although the number has not been announced yet. That should prove handy on a site with more than 3,500 shops, over 250 places to eat and around 40,000 shows across the season. In addition, the Happiness Gate has more ticket counters, and new bilingual signs in Arabic and English stand at the Gate of the World.
Family Washrooms and Refreshed Landmarks
More accessible Family POD washrooms have been added across the site. Several familiar spots also look different this season:
- The Cultural Gate has new LED lighting.
- The Sharjah tunnel leading into Global Village has a new theme.
- The Festival Wheel carts at Carnaval have been redesigned.
- The Dessert District has a new façade.
- The Syria and Kuwait pavilions return with new façades.
- The Sri Lanka Pavilion and the Russia and Azerbaijan Pavilion have been refreshed.
- The Gardens of the World return with new design elements.
New Shows, a New Roller Coaster and New Places to Eat
Tokyo Rush, a new roller coaster with sharp turns and a loop, will open later in the season, although no date has been given. Meanwhile, new shows include the stunt show Fast Live 2: The Police Strikes Back, plus two new anchor shows, Bollywood Idol and Bank Heist. For food lovers, the newcomers are:
- Trabzon Turkish Restaurant.
- Robo Al Sham.
- Hawawshi Al Rabie.
- Chicking.
- Three new cafés: Vinci Dolci, Emir Bey Gourmet and Uzungol Café.
Parking at Global Village: Prices and the New Pay Machines
For drivers, the most practical change is in VIP parking. This season, guests can pay at self-service machines before they reach the exit, rather than queuing to pay at the barrier. Organisers say this should reduce congestion at the gates, Khaleej Times reports. There are also new directional signs across the main parking zones.
The official parking guide lists these options:
- VIP Parking: Dh200 a day, or free for VIP pack holders.
- Paid Parking: Dh120 a day on weekdays and weekends.
- Paid Parking 2: Dh75 a day, about 350 metres from the Happiness Gate.
- Free zones P1 and P3: about 400 metres from the Gate of the World. P5 is about 450 metres away.
- Free zones P7, P8 and P10: open on weekends, public holidays and busy days, about 1km from the Cultural Gate, with a free shuttle bus or a rickshaw from Dh10.
- Dedicated parking for People of Determination and for A Sticker holders.
If you were hoping for a VIP pack, you are too late. Pre-booking opened on 21 September through the Coca-Cola Arena website and sold out, according to Khaleej Times. The Mega Gold and Mega Silver packs, which combined Global Village perks with Dubai Parks and Resorts passes or tickets, also returned this year.
Getting to Global Village by Bus and Metro
There is no metro station at the gates. Instead, the official site lists four seasonal RTA bus routes that link the park with the Dubai Metro:
- Bus 102 from Centrepoint Metro Station.
- Bus 103 from Union Metro Station, via Al Rebat Street.
- Bus 104 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, via Max Fashion Metro Station.
- Bus 106 from Mall of the Emirates Metro Station, via Al Barsha.
Taxis and ride-hailing apps work well too. On busy nights, though, a bus avoids the slow queue out of the car parks at closing time.
How to Make the Most of Global Village Ticket Prices
A little planning makes Global Village far more enjoyable, especially in its first fortnight. Here is what we would do:
- Go from Monday to Thursday to pay Dh25 rather than Dh30, and remember that Sunday is now a weekend rate.
- Arrive close to 4pm on a weekday, when it is quieter and still light enough for photos.
- Avoid opening night if crowds bother you, because it also falls in the half-term week.
- Check whether passports are on sale before you go, so children can start collecting stamps on their first visit.
- Use a free car park and the shuttle at weekends, or take the bus from the metro.
- Save the WhatsApp chatbot number once it is published, so you can find shows and stalls quickly.
If you have more time during the school break, combine your trip with other reopenings. Gulf News reports that Dubai Miracle Garden reopened for its 15th season today, 8 October, and Dubai Parks and Resorts reopened on 7 October. Our Dubai October 2026 guide rounds up the rest of the month.
Conclusion: Global Village Ticket Prices Stay Low, but Plan Your Night
The Global Village ticket prices for Season 31 remain some of the best value in Dubai, at Dh25 on weekdays and Dh30 at weekends. The key change is that Sunday now counts as part of the weekend. Beyond that, the new passports, faster entry and pay-before-you-leave parking should make each visit smoother.
